M-GROUP provides professional consulting in the discipline of structural engineering which includes design, value engineering and third-party plan reviews for various types of existing and new structures. Our scope of work involves both prime and sub-consulting assignments for contractors, architects and developers.
M-GROUP is a small accomplished structural engineering consulting office based in Portland, Oregon established in 2007 by our principal Gaby Massaad PE, SE and now employs four engineering and three technical staff members with civil or structural licenses in the states of: Oregon, Washington, California, Montana, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Michigan, Wyoming, Illinois, South Dakota and Hawaii.
Our success contributed to the combinations of each principal’s direct involvement on each and every project and the hard working and highly motivated staff. Our staff carries advanced degrees and certifications with specialties in structural design and management of various types of new and existing structures which include custom residential, medical, governmental, institutional, industrial, educational, and commercial projects. Our staff members’ experience and expertise enable the firm to produce economical design, but not compromising quality, using structural steel, concrete, structural masonry, light-gauge steel, and wood construction.
Our mission is to have consistent, prudent growth and build a legacy of good relationships to produce sound and sustainable structures for years to come. Our fundamental philosophy is to deliver successful projects and excellence through teamwork and exploring creative solutions while remaining abreast of industry advances in structural engineering. Massaad Engineering Group (M-GROUP) provides structural engineering services for various building types from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration. Our services focus on new construction of various architectural building projects and on seismic rehabilitation of existing structures. These services are generally offered to the architectural communities as we work collectively with the design team to develop safe and most economical structural systems.
Massaad Engineering Group works closely with local jurisdictions and educational school districts to provide value engineering reviews and feasibility assessments on new and existing projects. With a combined experience of more than 40 years, we have been involved with construction and building projects involving wood, masonry, steel, and concrete. M-GROUP is an influential design review team member participating in new and existing schools building development throughout Washington State.
Massaad Engineering Group provides engineering submittals for structural items generally known as deferred submittals such as Tie-Down Systems (TDS), Mechanical and Electrical Bracing, Curtain Wall Systems, Elevator Rails, Shoring Systems, Steel Stairs, etc. This service is generally offered to contractors as we work side by side in the early stages of construction to develop safe and economical solutions.
